Bailey says: Support our school through Midlands Gives!

In just over a week, giving to our school counts double! If you are a St. Peter’s Catholic School parent, you know why you want to give! If you are a parishioner, you hopefully have felt the vibrancy that our school gives to the parish. Each Sunday we see so many young people in the pews. The Capella Pueri offers it’s magnificent voice to mass. And let’s not forget how many altar servers hail from our school!
And what does Bailey think of all of this? He wants to add his paw to the efforts.  See the cutest video below to inspire you to offer your support generously in turn!

From the Pastor’s desk

On this joyous day on which the Church celebrates the Resurrection of her Lord, I am happy to announce that I recently reconstituted a Parish Council for Saint Peter’s. To the best of my knowledge, Saint Peter’s has not had a Council for many years. Given this, I felt it best to wait until I could develop a sense of our parish community before moving forward in this way.
My hope is that our Council will aid me as I seek to lead the persons who constitute our Parish to a greater union with God and a deeper and more profound faith in His Son, rooted in the Eucharist and lived out in our incredibly rich and diverse community.

In our first meetings, I have asked them to begin to vision what Saint Peter’s should be and to address our strengths and weaknesses. All have been positive, yet transparent and frank in our conversations. In subse-quent meetings, we will work to identify the best means of fostering our communion with Christ and each other.

The following are the members of the Parish Council as listed in alphabetical order:

Paul and Kimberly Brown
Ed and Therese Carr
Anna Kay Daggs
John and Mary Gandolfo

Ashley Jones
Joanne Metrick
Dan and Catherine Norris
Nicolas Pas-Ramirez

These individuals are involved in the various ministries of our Church and stand ready to listen to your concerns as we move forward, together, to build the City of God in this place Saint Peter’s is overflowing with great people and energy that we hope to continue to harness as we seek to do great things for God. May this Resurrection Sunday only be a sign of what lies ahead for us all!
