From the Pastor’s desk

I spent the past three Wednesdays during CCD meeting with our Adult Class. I wanted this group of committed Catholics from our parish to give me some sense of how they might respond to questions posed as a follow up to the first meeting of the Synod on Family Life convened by our Holy Father, Pope Francis.
Now, the Diocese of Charleston invites anyone to thoughtfully answer the following questions now through April 15. These original questions are from the Synod of Bishops’ document on The Vocation and Mission of the Family in the Church and Contemporary World. The answers will be provided to the Diocese of Charleston for the Bishop’s report to the synod and for diocesan planning. Thank you for your input and willingness to help us better serve families in South Carolina and the Universal Church.
Please feel free to answer any or all of the questions in the survey. The survey may be completed online or by send-ing your responses by mail. Online surveys may be completed anonymously or by providing your email through the following link.

If you have any questions, the Office of Family Life may be reached at: FamilyLife@catholic-doc.org

The Five O Plus club invites you…

Come on come all for the Five O Plus Easter parade of bonnets. The monthly luncheon meeting of Five O Plus will be held on April 1st at 12:30 in Neglia Hall
This is a “pot luck” luncheon so bring a dish to share. Following the luncheon we will have the parade around the room to determine the best bonnet to win a
delectable, delicious gift certificate from Nonna’s in the Vista on Gervais Street. This is a fun event and everyone is welcome. Bring your bonnet all assembled and ready to show off.
Also to be discussed will be a trip to Orangeburg to attend Mass at Holy Trinity Church and and view The drawings of the Hands of Jesus and their stained glass windows.
We will have lots to discuss so please be sure to attend. We will also be discussing the “end of the year” luncheon and where we will go.
Hope to see everyone with their bonnets and ready to win a great prize.  Last year.. we most definitely had a lot of fun.
