Christmas at St. Peter’s

We were so glad to see many people join us again for Christmas this year.  And there are so many people to thank for both the magnificent decoration of the Church, the beautiful liturgy and the hundreds of practical behind the scenes details that are quietly taken care of.

Liturgy and service are two sides of one coin. For many at St. Peter’s serving others in volunteering at Christmas through St. Vincent de Paul is a cherished opportunity. If you want to know more about St. Vincent de Paul and offer to help year round, please contact the church office.

Christmas Mass: Music

Please join us to celebrate the birth of Our Savior at one of the five masses St. Peter’s offers.

Music for Christmas Eve includes:
4 PM Mass with Capella Pueri, Choral Scholars, trumpet, strings and organ
6:30 PM Festival of Carols & 7 PM Mass with the Contemporary Ensemble
11:15 PM PM Choruses from “Messiah” – G. F. Handel with Gallery Choir
Midnight Mass with the Gallery Choir, trumpet, strings, and organ

Music for Christmas Day includes:
11 AM Mass with Cantor and Organ
1 PM Mass in Spanish with Coro Hispano

Hoping to give everyone a chance to attend Mass at Christmas, Saint Peter’s will celebrate mass at 4 pm, 7 pm and Midnight.  On Christmas day we will have mass at 11 am and at 1 Pm in Spanish.  Please come and join us in celebrating the birth of our Savior.

Each year St. Peter’s Catholic School offers a set of Christmas cards featuring student artwork. This year’s cards were created collaboratively by the classes and include artwork from every student!

The cards are available for purchase in the school office as a set of five cards (one of each design) and five envelopes for $5.  Come on by and pick up a set.. or two.

Tapping into Theology

One of the successful activities of St. Peter’s new young professionals is “Thirsty for Theology” where they meet up at a bar or pub and delve into theological subjects relating to their lives.  It’s a welcoming, low pressure environment and has attracted quite some attention already.
